Our Weekly Message for March 21, 2003

Greetings special friends,

As our nation is on the brink of war, make sure to take time to pray for our men and women that are standing strong for our country along with our President who has many difficult decisions to make in the coming days. The Presidential Prayer Team

I hope that all of you are refreshed from spring break and ready to tackle school again. With the weather changing so quickly we have summer like weather in some areas and blizzards in other areas. Hope you are one of the lucky ones getting sunshine like we are.

Here are some thoughts for the day on "purpose":

"The longer I live, the more I am certain that the great difference between the great and the insignificant, is energy - invincible determination - a purpose once fixed and then death or victory." -- Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton

"You must be single-minded. Drive for one thing on which you have decided."
-- George S. Patton

"The chief distinguishing characteristic of leaders is Intensity of Purpose."
-- Brian Tracy

"How different our lives are when we really know what is deeply important to us, and keeping that picture in mind, we manage ourselves each day to be and to do what really matters most." -- Stephen Covey

We are gearing up for our National Championship next week in Denton, Texas. We are thrilled to have the South African National Dance/Drill Team competing with us for the first time. They will have an elementary team, a junior team and a senior team. If you are in the area, you will want to come watch the over 125 teams competing for national and international championships along with the Dallas Power House of Dance and the NBA Dallas Mavericks Dancers. Watch next week for a schedule to be posted on our main page.

We are getting numerous daily registrations for Summer Team Camps, Officer Camps and Private Camps. Make sure to visit our Summer Camp page for locations and information about camps. Individuals can also download a registration form for Jazz Camp.

Below is a cute passage called The Dancer Mom's 23rd Psalm. Hope you enjoy it.Have a glorious weekend ahead, and, as always, please keep in touch.

The Dancer Mom's 23rd Psalm

"The dance schedule is my ruler,

I shall never make it there on time!

It maketh me to look for the costume hair accessories at midnight,

It destroyeth my sleep!

It filleth my car with odd dance shoes,

It turneth me into a fast food junkie!

It forceth me to loose my "Cool",

The judges ejecteth me from the competitions!

Yea though I faithfully sit at the studio night after night,

I fear great evil for I have lost a sandasol!

One pom-pom getteth left at home...

I forgetteth Thursday class,

And the dog dineth upon a Jazz boot!

Surely costumes, tights, and dance shoes

Shall empty my wallet all the days of my life

And I shall dwell in the Dance Shop forever!"
