Our Weekly Message for November 7, 2001

Hello everyone,

What glorious weather we are having for fall. I cannot remember a recent year when fall has been quite so good. Many of you will be playing your rival school this week in your closing season football game. Basketball will be just around the corner and plans for contest will soon follow.

If you need some new ideas for play-off pep rallies or basketball, plan to attend one of our One Day Dance Workshops. If you have not planned your team makeup for contest, visit the new web site for Biogime International and click on Drill Team. They have the best products for the best prices.

Here are a couple of thoughts on forgiveness from Hugh Prather's book "Spiritual Notes to Myself."
========================================================
"Sometimes I'm afraid to forgive because I think I'll have to spend more time with the person or make some other gesture. But forgiveness is an act of the heart, not a Kodak moment."

"Forgiveness isn't something nice I do for someone who is 'guilty' forgiveness is something nice I do for my own mind. Do I want a mind that tortures me or one that is a friend to me?"
========================================================

The 2002 Contest Handbooks were mailed last week. If you are planning to attend one of our 2002 contests and did not receive one in the mail, please let us know and we will forward one to you right away.

Below are some quotes from three various subject areas: Expectation, Commitment, and Focus. May you have a wonderful week and, as always, please keep in touch.

 EXPECTATION
"Others will underestimate us, for although we judge ourselves by what we feel capable of doing, others judge us only by what we have already done." -- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

"Our limitations and success will be based, most often, on your own expectations for ourselves. What the mind dwells upon, the body acts upon." -- Denis Waitley

"If you conduct yourself as though you expect to be successful and happy, you will seldom be disappointed." -- Brian Tracy

"It's not that people want too much, it's that they want too little." -- Mark Victor Hansen

COMMITMENT
"A commitment is like your signature on a contract: it binds you to a course of action." -- Nido Qubein

"Choose a field you enjoy and then become totally absorbed in it." -- Brian Tracy

"A total commitment is paramount to reaching the ultimate in performance." -- Tom Flores

"All great masters are chiefly distinguished by the power of adding a second, a third, and perhaps a fourth step in a continuous line. Many a man had taken the first step. With every additional step you enhance immensely the value of your first." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson

FOCUS
"The weakest living creature, by concentrating his powers on a single object, can accomplish something; whereas the strongest, by dispersing his over many, may fail to accomplish anything." -- Thomas Carlyle

"Give whatever you are doing and whoever you are with the gift of attention." -- Jim Rohn

"Devote uninterrupted chunks of time to the most important people in your life." -- Brian Tracy

"Our grand business is not to see what lies dimly at a distance, but to do what lies clearly at hand." -- Thomas Carlyle
