Our Weekly Message for March 5, 2003
We have completed 18
out of 23 competitions for the year and continue
to be amazed at the outstanding teams that we see
each week. So much discipline and focus goes into
the preparation for these performances. Make sure
to continue to monitor the
contest page for
schedules and results.
Here are some thoughts for the day:
"We can secure other people's approval, if we do
it right and try hard; but our own is worth a
hundred of it."
-- Mark Twain
"Praise works with only three types of people;
men, women, and children."
"When someone does something well, applaud! You
will make two people happy."
-- Samuel Goldwyn
CR and I give praise
each and every day for the wonderful jobs we have
in working with young people. It lifts us up each
week when we could be weary from the long work
hours, but remain so fulfilled by seeing the
positive results of our efforts along with the
incredible talents we see. Below is a special
passage on The Thrill of Work by Paul Meyer. I
hope that each of you are happy in your jobs and
know that it is never about the money, but about
the love and passion for your work. I hope that
you enjoy this passage as much as we did.
Have a wonderful week, and, as always, please keep
