Our Weekly Message for December 4, 2002

Greetings special friends!

I hope that each of you had a blessed Thanksgiving holidays with your families. We missed being with our families but were elated to be in New York to see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade™ with Mike Miller & Associates Special Events, Inc. We had ringside seats in Herald Square, right in front of Macy's and next to the NBC cameras! The performance of the 500 dancers was fantastic and the parade was incredible. Make sure to plan to attend one of our 2003 Summer Camps so that you and your team can qualify to perform at this feature event next year.

We also saw the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes Christmas Spectacular, and wow, was is truly spectacular with 36 Rockettes and a host of other performers, animals, and Santa Claus! Our Texas Rockettes Dance Experience workshops are filling quickly so make sure to register online before classes fill. Watch next week for additional workshops in Nashville, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit and Phoenix. You can register online!

Here are some thoughts for the day:

“Most people have no idea of the giant capacity we can immediately command when we focus all of our resources on mastering a single area of our lives.”  Anthony Robbins

"To attract attractive people, you must be attractive. To attract powerful people, you must be powerful. To attract committed people, you must be committed. Instead of going to work on them, you go to work on yourself. If you become, you can attract." Jim Rohn

"A mediocre idea that generates enthusiasm will go further than a great idea that inspires no one." Mary Kay Ash

Make sure to take a look at The Line Online and see past weekly message archives. We have recently added subtitles to each of them with the subject of the weekly passage so that you can look up and reprint one of your favorites or to fill a special need.

I have always been an optimistic person looking on the positve side of life. I find that I am a much happier person when the focus goes towards the beauty of life instead of the small challenges that tend to stumble our path along the way. My brother, Jim, sent me the passage below titled, "The Positive Side of Life." I hope that you enjoy it as I did.

I am off to Des Moines, Iowa tomorrow to judge the largest state competition in the country, the Iowa State Drill Team Competition with over 225 teams competing for state titles.

Have a wonderful week, and, as always, please keep in touch.

"The Positive Side of Life"

Living on Earth is expensive,
but it does include a free trip
around the sun every year.

How long a minute is
depends on what side of the
bathroom door you're on.

Birthdays are good for you;
the more you have,
the longer you live.

Happiness comes through doors you
didn't even know you left open.

Ever notice that the people who are late
are often much jollier
than the people who have to wait for them?

Most of us go to our grave
with our music still inside of us.

If Walmart is lowering prices every day,
how come nothing is free yet?

You may be only one person in the world,
but you may also be the world to one person.

Some mistakes are too much fun
to only make once.

Don't cry because it's over;
smile because it happened.

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
and all are different colors....but
they all exist very nicely in the same box.

A truly happy person is one who
can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Have an awesome day, and
know that someone
who thinks you're great
has thought about you today!..
"And that person was me.".....
Please don't keep this message
to yourself.....send it to all those
who mean so much to you.... "NOW"..
