Our Weekly Message for January 9, 2002

Greetings everyone!
Well, we are all back to school and looking ahead to a successful 2002. We had a great convention in Houston and the association now has a new name: Texas Dance Educators Association. With this new name, TDEA will go forth with a more professional approach and include not only dance/drill team directors but dance educators as well.

Here are some thoughts for today:

"Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again; this time more intelligently."
--Henry Ford

"Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul."
--Samuel Ullman

"In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity." --Albert Einstein

This Saturday, January 12th, will be our Olathe East One Day Dance Workshop
in Olathe, Kansas, as well as the kick off for Miss Kansas High Kick and Kansas Kick Company. Also this Saturday will also be our One Day Dance Workshop at Texas High School in Texarkana, Texas. Watch for the Miss Texas Kick Off and One Day Dance Workshop at Duncanville HS on Saturday, January 19th.

The 2002 Contest Season kicks off for us in two weeks with our Kansas Spectacular fielding teams from 3 states. If you would like more information about this and other contests, visit our contest page or E-mail us for more information.

Below is a collection of good advice to live by. It is just a small reminder, a nudge to each of us, to be more aware of ourselves, our families, our spirituality and others around us. I wish everyone a great week, and, as always, please keep in touch!
